The TechJournal’s bi-annual DeckParty event is the largest technology and life science networking event in North Carolina, attracting a typical crowd of over 500 technology executives and investors. The event will be held on the beautiful, high-tech Centennial Campus at NC State. Come network with several hundred executives and professionals from the Triangle Technology Business Community at the area’s largest pure networking event. Mingle with top technology executives, entrepreneurs, investors, press and other notables who impact the Triangle’s technology community. Since its inception in the late 90’s, the DeckParty has become a local institution as the largest technology business networking ‘party’ on the east coast. As always…no panelists and no boring speeches…just meet, eat, drink and greet!
Its too bad I missed it. I would have liked to go. How was it?
It was great, wish I could have stayed longer. Great weather, energetic atmosphere… sampled as much as I could and chatted more than I normally do. It was a good, casual way to network and catch up on tech/research first hand from companies in the area. great coverage here:

Those are great articles and it looks like it would be a fantastic time. I will keep up to date with the deckparty.org website to try and catch the next one.
I have to concur with Rick Smith, the technology revolution the second time around seems like it will indeed produce steady growth. I have noticed that marketing and development have increased as well. Internet innovators have discovered how to write business plans! Or at least how to hire them out!
