Now in its eight year, the festival, which runs February 12 to 24, 2007, brings to venues across the city over 160 films, 47 workshops and ten talks by guest animators. Running alongside are six exhibitions, two multimedia events, and animation careers, industry and games days… of course you’ll have to skip across the great pond to Exeter, UK.

Animated ExeterOne of this year’s highlights is the screening of the new adaption of Prokofiev’s classic tale, Peter & the Wolf – The Film. For young visiters, Komenko shows a series of short films about a Japanese cat making an animation film. A selection of Japanese manga style films will be screened including Tetsujin 28, Cowboy Bepop, Metropolis and Perfect Blue.
