Learn how to break into the international art world. Join leading figures from around the world to hear about long- and short- term international residency opportunities for artists (working in every medium) as well as biennales and other global exhibition possibilities. Register early to ensure your participation in this weekend-long event.

Come to Boston to meet, network with and have your work seen by the conference‘s distinguished curators, critics and panelists. This is an excellent resource for professional development. Advance conference registration, which includes admission to all the panels, networking events and a private one-on-one consultation with one of the conference‘s international guests, curators or critics is $150. All advance registrations must be received by February 1, 2007.

Design, Textiles Students to Present �Collection: Art to Wear 2006� Fashions April 4, 2006

What:
Two North Carolina State University colleges will present their annual fashion show �Collection: Art to Wear 2006.� The 14 student designers are members of the Anni Albers program � a dual-degree program in design and textile and apparel technology � and were selected to present their designs.

The show will feature a variety of techniques from traditional fashion flat patterning to draping and tailoring. Experimental fiber and surface design work will also be used in the garment and accessory designs.

Who:
Presented by NC State�s College of Design and College of Textiles. The student directors are Ryan Wayne and Jonathan Gatlin. The faculty advisors are Vita Plume, assistant professor of art and design, Dr. Cynthia Istook, associate professor of textile and apparel technology and management, and Dr. Traci May, assistant professor of textile and apparel technology and management.

When:
Friday, April 7, at 8 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be held in Brooks Hall.

Where:
Kamphoefner Courtyard, which is located between Kamphoefner and Brooks halls off Pullen Road on the NC State campus. For directions to the College of Design, visit http://www.design.ncsu.edu/directions. Parking is available in Riddick Lot (off Stinson Drive) and in the Coliseum Parking Deck.
